Job Description
Business Analysis
Requirement Gathering: Conduct workshops with clients to capture As-Is processes and define To-Be processes across various departments (Sales, Accounting, Inventory, HR, Manufacturing).
Gap Analysis: Identify mismatches between client needs and standard Odoo features; propose workarounds, configuration changes, or custom development specifications.
Documentation: Create Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, and Process Flowcharts (UML/BPMN).
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between C-level executives, department heads, and the development team.
Functional Consulting
Configuration: Set up Odoo modules (Sales, CRM, Accounting, Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing, HR) based on documented requirements.
Prototyping: Build proof-of-concept environments to demonstrate solutions to clients before final implementation.
Data Migration: Define data cleaning strategies, map data from legacy systems to Odoo, and oversee import/validation processes.
Testing: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define test cases, and manage bug tracking (using tools like GitHub Issues, Jira, or Odoo’s built-in debugging tools).
Project & Change Management
Training: Conduct end-user training sessions and create training manuals/videos.
Go-Live Support: Provide hyper-care support immediately following go-live to resolve critical issues.
Continuous Improvement: Advise clients on Odoo’s latest versions (upgrades) and best practices to optimize ROI.

Requirements
A. Functional & Domain Knowledge
Odoo Expertise: Deep knowledge of Odoo’s core architecture (Studio, workflows, automation rules, scheduled actions). Experience with Odoo 15, 16, 17, or 18 is essential.
Module Specialization: Proficiency in at least 3 core areas:
Sales & CRM (Pricelists, Sales Pipelines, E-commerce)
Accounting & Finance (Localization, Invoicing, Reconciliation)
Inventory & Manufacturing (MRP, BOM, Routing, Warehousing, Quality)
Industry Knowledge: Experience in specific verticals (e.g., Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, Services) is highly preferred.
Soft Skills
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical limitations into business language (and vice versa).
Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to determine if an issue is a “configuration fix,” a “user error,” or a “custom development.”
Consultative Mindset: Ability to push back on clients when they request unnecessary customizations that harm upgradeability.
Project Management: Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall methodologies.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management.
MBA is often a plus for senior consulting roles.
Certifications (Highly Valued)
Odoo Functional Certification (Official Odoo certifications for Sales, Accounting, or Inventory).
PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (for project leadership roles).
IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) certification is a plus.
Experience
3 to 6 years of experience in ERP implementation (Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite).
Proven track record of end-to-end implementations (at least 5 full-cycle implementations).
